Moonee Valley Racecourse is set to host their biggest race meeting of the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival under the lights on Friday night, September 24 featuring the 2010 Bill Stutt Stakes.
The $200,000 Group 2 Bill Stutt Stakes (1600m) is one of four Group status races on the night, headlined by the $500,000 Group 1 Manikato Stakes (1200m).
The 2010 Bill Stutt Stakes field will feature a line-up of quality three-year-olds that may have come via a number of earlier spring features including the Group 3 HDF McNeil Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on August 28, the Group 2 Danehill Stakes (1200m) at Flemington on September 4 and either the Caulfield or Thousand Guineas Preludes on September 18.
Watching for the top performers in these events can give you a good guide to the Stutt Stakes before making your betting selections at an online bookmaker such as Ladbrokes.com.au.
The Stutt Stakes is also likely to be used as a preparatory run for a number of horses on way to the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) on October 9, so keeping an eye on the odds for the Stutt Stakes’ winners and placegetters in the Caulfield Guineas betting markets is a top tip.
Nominations for the 2010 Bill Stutt Stakes will close on September 20 followed by the final field of acceptances on September 22 and we will be the first to publish the list of entered horses so bookmark this page.
