Detective has returned to racing in particularly slick form this time and should prove tough to beat on Friday, having drawn into the Stutt Stakes field in barrier 5.

Detective produced a number of smart efforts through his two-year-old campaign, undoubtedly highlighted by his close second in the Group 2 VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m).

Resuming this time for success in the Davcron Engineering Maiden Plate (1350m) on August 28th, the Snitzel colt will be seeking a third-consecutive win after taking out the Listed Express Room Stakes (1400m) on September 10th.

Godolphin will launch a two pronged attack in the Friday three-year-old feature after trainer John O’Shea confirmed both Tessera and Pyx Chamber in the 2016 Bill Stutt Stakes field.

Tessera debuted to racing for an impressive win in a Randwick minor over 1100m in January this year, before making a successful transition to black type company with success in the Group 3 Canonbury Stakes (1100m).

Having returned to the paddock after failing to beat a runner home in the Group 2 Todman Stakes (1200m) on March 5th, the Medaglia D’Oro colt resumed this time for seventh in the Group 2 The Run To The Rose (1200m) before improving for second in the Express Room Stakes last time out.

Pyx Chamber returned to the paddock after finishing a close second in the Listed Anzac Day Stakes (1400m) on April 25th, and has quickly built to the task this time.

Running tenth in the Group 3 McNeil Stakes (1200m) on August 27th, the Street Cry colt placed fifth in the IGA Liquor BM70 (1300m) last time out on September 9th and appears as though he will relish racing at a mile.

Hey Doc is yet to taste anything but success this time and will jump from the ideal barrier 2 in the Stutt Stakes with Luke Currie in the saddle.

Hey Doc debuted to racing for an impressive win at the Morphettville on January 2nd, but his formed steadily tapered out on his way to fifteenth in the Group 1 Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) on February 27th.

Taking out the Cove Hotel BM70 (1200m) upon resuming on August 7th, the Duporth gelding repeated the dose in the Quest Moonee Valley Handicap (1514m) on September 3rd.
